Can you "haggle" car insurance?
I currently have Allstate for my car insurance and have a local office and agent. I like having a local office, but recently I have a quote from Geico that more than $ 150 for 6 months less than what I currently have the same range paid by Allstate. My question is if I walk into my local Allstate office and show my agent I lower the rate it will be able to give me a comparable Rate with the same cover to me as a customer or does it not in his power to do that? I've never had an accident or even a ticket and always pay my bills on time. I have excellent credit. I'm just looking to lower in my insurance rates.
First make sure that the quote is from the same level the insurance you have Allstate. The states have the minimum required level of insurance, but most people have that added for better coverage. Comparisons between a minimum policy, a policy that has additional coverage that the minimum will be cheaper. If the citation is for shorter range, then see which will cover the lower costs of Allstate, so you're comparing like coverages.
